Quartzite: What is it and what are its properties?
This metamorphic rock is very hard and resistant. It has a high percentage of quartz, over 90%. It forms naturally through the recrystallization of sandstone under high pressure and high temperatures. It is highly valued for kitchen and bathroom countertops and interior wall decoration. It is very resistant to heat and scratches. A wide variety of colors and veining patterns are available, including beige, gray, green, black, and light tones.
The price of natural quartzite stone is higher compared to most marbles, limestones, and sandstones. We import it from Brazil.
Do you know how quartzite differs from other natural stones? High resistance to heat and weathering, low porosity, and low susceptibility to staining and scratching.
